LORENZO CUOCOLO

Lorenzo Cuocolo is a Full Professor of Comparative Public Law and an Attorney (admitted to the Italian Bar in 2002). Since 2010, he has been admitted to practice before the Corte di Cassazione (Italian Supreme Court) and the higher courts.

He practices as a lawyer and legal adviser to businesses, public authorities, and trade associations. He advises clients in Italian, English, and French.

In recent years, he has represented leading companies, including publicly listed companies, before the Regional Administrative Courts (TAR) and the Council of State (Consiglio di Stato), and has advised on complex advisory matters, including cross-border transactions.

Academic Activities

  • Full Professor of Comparative Public Law. He teaches Administrative Law and Sustainable Development Law at the University of Genoa, Public Law at Bocconi University in Milan, where he founded the Bocconi Research Unit on Law and Economics Studies (RULES), and Comparative Constitutional Law at Università Cattolica in Milan.
  • He has conducted research abroad, particularly at New York University School of Law (NYU) and Sciences Po Paris.
  • He is the author of more than one hundred publications, including monographs and academic articles on public law, administrative law and economics law matters.
