OUR ORIGINS
TRADITION. RIGOR. INNOVATION..
The Firm was founded by Professor Fausto Cuocolo (1930–2006), one of Italy’s leading legal scholars in the post-war era. He served as legal adviser to Presidents of the Republic and Prime Ministers and was a member of several governmental and parliamentary commissions.
He represented both public and private clients before Italy’s highest administrative and civil courts. He established the Firm in Genoa during the early years of the Regional Administrative Courts (TAR), acting for clients throughout Italy.
His legacy continues to shape the Firm today through the same rigorous approach to legal analysis and the same commitment to independence and transparency.
At the same time, we have undertaken a far-reaching organizational transformation. Through a sustained process of growth, we have preserved the Firm’s rigorous standards while expanding the range of services we offer, developing a more dynamic organization with state-of-the-art operational capabilities, supported by significant investments in technology.
THE LOGO
The Firm’s logo was conceived and designed by Eugenio Carmi (1920–2016), one of Italy’s leading abstract painters. He exhibited at the Venice Biennale and in major museums around the world. Originally trained as a graphic designer, he created logos and developed the corporate identity of some of Italy’s leading industrial groups. Born in Genoa, Eugenio Carmi spent much of his artistic career in Milan while maintaining strong ties to his hometown. Eugenio Carmi passed away in 2016, one day before his ninety-sixth birthday. The Firm’s logo was among the last works he created.
